You're a Reflection of God's Love!
“He who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9 NKJV), and “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one” (John 17:21-23 NLT).
So, when people see me, they should be seeing God, because I’m a reflection of God on Earth.
I’m a sign of God’s love.
I’m His hope-full, glory-carrying, ray-of-Sonshine, beloved child in whom He is well pleased and He delights over me with singing so I don’t have a care in this world except to joy, joy, rejoice in all things.
But, am I? Perhaps not yet, but isn’t that a sweet picture of Truth?
Isn’t it lovely that we can trade every false perception, misrepresentation, or bald-faced lie we’ve picked up or agreed with and lay it all down at the foot of the cross? We can go straight to our instruction manual (called the Bible) and discover the Truth instead. That spirit of Truth and Holiness will set us free from every burden so we can live in the abundance of our inheritance in Christ.
Well, that’s good news!
Here’s the rest of John 17:21-23 (NLT), "I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. 22 'I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. 23 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.'"
God loves us as much as He loves His Son because we too, are His sons and daughters.
Try to imagine how much love that is.
I’m headed back to bed, but my happy thought as I fall back to sleep will be to try to imagine what that much love looks like or feels like. I want to imagine how different my life could be or would be if I chose to embrace the fullness of that truth. God is FOR me, and He’s right here WITH me, and nothing (no thing) can separate me from His love (Romans 8:38-39). All I have to do is believe it’s for me and receive it.
My friends, may the all-consuming love of God consume you every waking and sleeping moment of this day.
Amen.
