Celebrating Recovery
Dec 30, 2023 by Sallie Dawkins
Ten years ago, a Celebrate Recovery program provided essential tools and accountability for overcoming food addictions and growing in faith. Many Americans will vow to lose weight at the beginning of the new year. I believe God is more concerned with our identity than He is with the numbers on a scale. Still, our bodies are temples inhabited by God’s Spirit. Therefore, starting the new year refreshing our healthful intentions could be a good idea.

God is my refuge and strength. When I started to feel overwhelmed, I knelt down and simply prayed, "Lord, send help."
Paul Left a Sick Man Behind
Oct 26, 2023 by Sallie Dawkins
In Matthew 10:8, Jesus tells us to "heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils," yet in 2 Timothy 4:14-22, we read that Paul left an infirm man behind. I had never noticed this before, but what did it mean?.

Unveiling the Secrets: How My Book Became a Best Seller in Just 2 Weeks
Sep 06, 2023 by Sallie Dawkins
My first book published achieved Amazon Best Seller status, likely due to interest generated from multiple paid ads. My book launch plan for The Complete Beginner's Guide to Self-Pubishing for Christians included only two paid ads. Would that be enough to boost it to Best Seller status?

Benefits of Journaling with God
Aug 15, 2023 by Sallie Dawkins
Journaling with God is not only beneficial for mental and emotional well-being but also has spiritual advantages. By documenting our thoughts, emotions, and experiences, we create a space for self-reflection and deepening our relationship with God. It is a form of prayer that allows for honest communication and the opportunity to hear God's voice clearly. Journaling helps cultivate an attitude of gratitude by recording blessings and moments of grace, shifting our focus towards God's goodness. It promotes healing, growth in discernment, and personal transformation.Learn more in Sallie Dawkins' post titled, "Benefits of Journaling with God."

PBJs with Jesus
Jan 14, 2023 by Sallie Dawkins
A friend recently commented that grilled cheese sandwiches are some of her favorites. I responded that I feel the same way about PBJs. A litte while later, I dreamed that Jesus was in my kitchen making PBJs. In Psalm 23:5 (WEB) we read, "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over." Perhaps PERCEPTION is key to contentment.
Inner Healing and Restoration is Possible for Military Veterans
Nov 08, 2022 by Sallie Dawkins
Statistics show that 22 military veterans per day commit suicide. This inner battle is one I'm all too familiar with. Healing came after decades of living with pain, but how exactly did it happen? It's an important part of the testimony I share in You Can Know the Heart of God for Your Life. Thankful for those whove served in the military, this blog post includes an important declaration and prayer for healing from military trauma.
Road Trip Mentioned in The Awakening Christian Series
Oct 10, 2022 by Sallie Dawkins
A well-known book publisher invited me to write about my 2020 road trip with the Lord. They were curious to know what it was like traveling during Covid to pray through 16 states, and I declined the offer. Honestly, I didn't take many notes or photos, and it was a spontaneous adventure that involved driving 6-8 hours per day. I shared a few details of the trip in You Can Know the Heart of God for Your Life (Book 2 of The Awakening Christian Series). Still, I know people are curious, so I created these photo collages to share. Enjoy!
30 Scriptures for Farmers
Sep 27, 2022 by Sallie Dawkins
A summer internship on a Kansas farm left me with a greater appreciation for animals and also the humans who care for them on a daily basis. Though the work was often strenuous, it was also incredibly rewarding. It was the perfect time to search God's Word for perspective, revelation, and understanding.
